hitotoでは約3年ぶり3回目となる山本理恵子の個展を開催いたします。

From the Exhibitor
一日を過ごす中で、道を歩き、本を読み、食事をする──数多くの一瞬がある。
それらは散らばった点のように見えるかもしれないが、朝から夜まで辿れば、無数の「一瞬」が一日の線を
形づくる。私の絵もまた、背後で繋がっている無数の別々の出来事から生まれ、積み重なった小さな折り目
から、やがて大きな流れがあらわれる。
人とは共有できないごく私的な感覚から、一本の線を、色を、置いていく。
意図して描くでも描かされるでもなく描く行為のうちに、自然と絵になる。その瞬間に立ち会いたい。
As we go through a day—walking down the street, reading a book, eating a meal—there are many
“moments.”
They may seem like scattered points, but when traced from morning until night, those countless “moments”
form the line of the day.
My paintings also arise from many separate events which, in fact, are connected, and from the countless
small folds layered together, a larger flow eventually emerges.
From a private feeling, one that may not be shared by others, I begin to place a single line, a color.
Neither drawing intentionally nor being made to draw, but simply in the act of drawing, it naturally becomes a
painting.I want to witness that very moment.

現在 京都市立芸術大学大学院美術研究科 博士(後期) 課程油画在籍中
図像同士の関係性と境界そのものに着目し、筆触により逸脱すること / 留まることを繰り返しながら、多様
な手法で図と地の共振する絵を描く。
